Shane Ring has been appointed to the newly created position of Business Development Manager with Cancer Trials Ireland, the Irish clinical oncology research group which supports and co-ordinates most of Ireland’s cancer trials and actively participates in international trials.
At Cancer Trials Ireland Shane will work closely with the many cancer trials research centres around the country to help boost the opportunities for patients to access potentially lifesaving cancer trials and also expand the organisation’s work with international collaborative groups.
Shane has 25 years’ commercial experience within the Irish and European pharmaceutical sector, which has centred mainly around Oncology and other speciality therapeutic areas.
He has held Sales, Sales Management, Marketing, Business Development and Market Access positions with Smithkline Beecham, Pharmacia, Pfizer and Quintiles.
