Returning Investigator session: Dr Hazel O’Sullivan

The ‘Returning Investigator Session’ presentation takes place at 16.00 on Friday March 31st 2023, as part of the DSSG day of meetings. The session will be delivered by Dr Hazel O’Sullivan and facilitated by Prof Seamus O’Reilly.

Biography / Dr Hazel O’Sullivan
Dr Hazel O’Sullivan is a medical oncologist with a special interest in lung cancer and oncogenetics. She received her Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training from the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland in 2021. She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Trials and a Postgraduate Certificate in Cancer Genetics. She has completed fellowships in oncogenetics, gynae-oncology and thoracic oncology at the Royal Marsden NHS Trust. Her presentation will cover:

  • Mentors
  • An ‘outside-in’ perspective on Irish researchers & research, having recently returned from abroad
  • Research interests

Who can attend

This session is primarily aimed at investigators of all levels – trainee to senior / principal / chief investigators. It is also open to members of Cancer Trials Ireland, and to oncology trainees, doctors and SpRs with an interest in clinical research who may not (yet) be members.
